This week, our 7th-grade students dove deep into an exciting learning unit about ReMilk, an innovative Israeli startup producing milk without cows. Beyond the scientific marvel, students engaged in a fascinating halachic exploration: Is lab-produced milk that looks, tastes, and smells exactly like cow’s milk considered pareve or dairy? Students listened to the school’s rabbis’ perspectives and conducted an in-depth investigation from both religious and scientific angles. Through a sophisticated debate, they developed smart hypotheses and reached thought-provoking conclusions. Just as ReMilk’s laboratory milk perfectly mimics real milk, our students concluded their unit with a creative “Cake or Fake” activity. With remarkable imagination, they crafted fondant creations that looked incredibly realistic! Categories (tags): Middle SchoolSTEAM
