On Monday, our elementary students showcased their incredible artistic talents during the K-5 Art Showcase, exploring the fascinating techniques of etching and printmaking. K-1 Students: Created expressive self-portraits full of personality. Grades 2-3: Designed vibrant cityscapes bursting with color and imagination. Fourth Graders: Found inspiration in the animal kingdom, bringing creatures to life through their artwork. Each student etched their designs into styrofoam and used water-based ink to create unique prints. Fifth graders took a journey through history, studying ancient coins and designing their own to represent our school. They etched their creations onto heavy tinfoil, wrapped them around cardboard circles, and completed their projects with thoughtful written descriptions explaining the symbolism behind their designs.
