First graders wrapped up their exciting science unit on seasons and weather by diving into the water cycle! Over the past week, they explored the key processes of evaporation, condensation, and precipitation. To cap off their learning, the students—assisted by some helpful 11th-grade volunteers—collaborated on an engaging indoor water cycle experiment. They observed tiny water droplets evaporate and condensate inside a large bowl, and marveled as these droplets eventually filled an empty bowl with fresh water, simulating precipitation. It was a fun and hands-on way to see the water cycle in action!
