Adina Lichtman, founder of “Knock Knock Give a Sock,” visited Hebrew Academy to share her journey of building an organization aimed at removing the stigma of homelessness. She made a powerful impact, especially when her colleague, Will Woods, shared his personal story of overcoming homelessness after losing his job due to Crohn’s disease. During the visit, Mrs. Zahava Garber, our school social worker, launched the “Find Your Kind” initiative. Nearly 120 students have signed up to perform four acts of kindness for a fellow student over the next four weeks leading up to Rosh Hashana. We’re excited! Categories (tags): High School
