We are thrilled to announce that Mrs. Lisa Stroll has been unanimously elected by the Rabbi Alexander S. Gross Hebrew Academy Board of Directors as our next Head of School, following a comprehensive, international search spanning sixteen months. Mrs. Stroll has demonstrated through community feedback from all stakeholder groups that she embodies the main priorities of our search: an Orthodox role model; a firm, decisive leader; a master educator; and an experienced people manager. Mrs. Stroll has served as the Head of School of Denver Academy of Torah (DAT) since 2018, having been promoted into that role from the Lower School Principal position. She joined DAT from Torah Day School of Atlanta, where she served as Assistant Principal. Mrs. Stroll holds a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from the University of Alberta and a Master’s in Educational Leadership and Administration from Concordia University. She has completed both of Harvard’s Graduate School of Education Principal Center programs, YU Lead, the Head of School Professional Excellence Program (HOSPEP) through Prizmah, and was a fellow in the Day School Leadership Training Institute (DSLTI) from 2019-2021. Mrs. Stroll officially began in July and we are delighted to welcome Mrs. Stroll, her husband Lawrence, and their daughter, Zahava, to Miami. There will be many opportunities to meet the Strolls and participate in welcoming them. Todah rabah to all of you — our Board, Dr. Stein and the administration team, faculty, staff, students, parents, grandparents, and community members — who contributed to this crucial process. This search has been successful because of the broad engagement in the process. We look forward to working with the entire community to welcome the Strolls and support Mrs. Stroll in her leadership of the school. Are you Ready to become a Warrior?
